In Ayurveda different pharmaceutical processes are followed in the preparation of drugs to make the medicines easily administrable, tasteful, digestible, assimilative, toxin free and more preservable.

Ayurvedic medicines are in the form of decoctions, dried powder, thick paste, ashes, pills, oils, liquid paste and fermented preparations.

1. Digestive system
